The Nexus AI Assistant

The Nexus Assistant is a chat panel that can answer questions about your wallets, credentials, and EU digital identity regulations (eIDAS, ARF, EBSI), and — with your confirmation on each step — perform actions for you: opening the issuance or verification forms, or creating credential types and wallet templates.

It must be turned on first — see Configuring the assistant below or Settings. If it's off, the floating button described here won't appear.

Opening it

A floating button sits in the bottom-right corner of every page once the assistant is enabled. Clicking it opens a resizable chat panel from the right edge of the screen.

The assistant runs in one of two contexts, chosen automatically by where you opened it:

  • Global context — opened from the Dashboard or Building Blocks. It can answer general questions and act at the account level (e.g. "create a credential type for X," "which trust frameworks does Triveria support?").
  • Wallet context — opened from a specific identity's dashboard. It's scoped to that wallet and can act on it directly (e.g. "help me issue a credential," "verify a Power of Attorney from this holder").

Each context shows different suggested prompts to help you get started.

Having a conversation

Type normally, as you would with any chat assistant. A model selector sits under the message composer, letting you switch which underlying model handles that conversation — the choices offered are limited to whatever your account's Permitted models allowlist permits (or every configured model, if that list is empty). A Clear conversation button in the header resets the thread; a close icon collapses the panel.

Confirming actions

When the assistant proposes something that would change data — issuing a credential, creating a template, updating a wallet's configuration — it shows an action card describing exactly what it's about to do, with details relevant to that action type (e.g. the credential type and recipient for an issuance). Nothing happens until you explicitly confirm the card. If you decline or the request doesn't make sense, you can just tell it so in the chat and it will adjust.

Some actions instead open the relevant screen directly for you to finish — for example, asking it to issue a credential may open the issuance wizard pre-filled, or asking it to verify one may open the Verify dialog, rather than the assistant completing the whole multi-step flow inline.

Regardless of how permissive your settings are, the assistant can never perform irreversible operations on your behalf — deleting a wallet or revoking a credential always requires you to do it yourself from the relevant screen.

Configuring the assistant

All assistant configuration — provider, model, permissions, and custom instructions — lives in one place: Settings → AI Agent. It applies to both the global and wallet-scoped assistant; there's no separate per-wallet configuration. See Settings for the full walkthrough.
